Git at Apache
There is a discussion going between Howard and the Apache folks over at the Tapestry Dev mailing list regarding using Git at Apache.

Git’s would essentially give non-committers the same tool set as committers, greatly enhancing Apache’s community and promoting greater meritocracy. It sounds like the sign off feature of Git would address Apache’s IP concerns. Considering the compelling “social development” model Git, the success of sites such as GitHub, and the mass of folks independently moving from SVN to Git, I expect that eventually Apache will migrate to Git.
